The Long Lounge Hotel Acceptable

18.45

The Long Lounge, Hotel Acceptable, Kent.

A fabbo day with The Horse.

There is another wedding reception today, and many of the guests are smokers. This coincides with alarming tv advertising seeking to dissuade smokers from continuing with their addiction. Evidence available from the wedding receptions of yesterday & today suggests the advertising is failing in its desired effect.

18.58 A man has sat next to me and lit up. He then coughed, and his cloud of smoke hit my nose.

19.01 An employee has shown me a room where there is no smoking: a private dining room that is not being used this evening, a lonely & cheerless room. The (French) employee tells me I cannot ask people not to smoke! But he can tell me to suffer the smoking of others. Not good.

19.16 The lounge is now busy with lots of smokers inhaling their Death Suck. They have that right. They do not have the right to envelop me in the repercussions of their behaviour, but this is not a concern for them.
